On February 28, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo announced its Opening Day plans, presented by Texas Capital Bank, with country music singer-songwriter and Texas native Parker McCollum performing at RODEOHOUSTON® on Tuesday, in association with the 2023 Rodeo. On October 6, a special ticket will be available for the event.
Parker McCollum
When he was young, McCollum grew up in Conroe, Texas, near Houston. Played guitar and composed songs. In Austin, he began touring and recording his debut album, “The Limestone Kid,” in 2015, bringing country music to the fore front. Nine of the 11 songs on his album were written or co-authored by McCollum. The album was well-received, and he went on tour. Playing in several Texas major cities. He has also recorded several platinum-certified songs, including “Pretty Heart.” Willie Nelson and George Strait are among his musical forefathers, and he credits his authentic roots with their long-lasting success. He has collaborated on songs with stars like Wade Bowen, Randy Rogers, Rhett Atkins and Miranda Lambert, in addition to with Willie, who has toured the world for decades.
2023 Rodeo Tickets on Sale October 6
Rodeo Houston fans can purchase individual tickets for McCollum’s Feb. 28 performance beginning Thursday, October 6 at 10 a.m. through AXS Ticketing via rodeohouston.com. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. through AXS Ticketing and rodeohouston.com. Customers who join the Waiting Room from 9:30 to 9:59 a.m. will be randomly chosen to enter the store to purchase tickets at 10 a.m. A place in the Waiting Room does not guarantee tickets. Tickets are $25, plus a $4 convenience fee.
